You are registering to participate in an event organized by KEEP ON RUNNING NV, with registered office at Westpoort 68, 2070 Zwijndrecht, VAT BE 0817.545.494, hereinafter referred to as "KEEP ON RUNNING" or "the organizer."
KEEP ON RUNNING is your point of contact for all your questions. KEEP ON RUNNING can be reached at events@keeponrunning.be.
The participant is defined as the natural person who has registered for a KEEP ON RUNNING event in a manner permitted by these general terms and conditions.
Article 1. Registration
The participant hereby declares that at the time of registration, they are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of their legal guardian to register for the event.
Registration is only valid if the registration form has been completed fully and truthfully, the registration fee and payment for extras have been paid in full, and these general terms and conditions have been accepted. The
Article 2. Right of withdrawal
The registration falls under the services referred to in Art. VI, 53, 12° WER for which the right of withdrawal is excluded.
In the event of non-participation, regardless of the reason, no claim can be made for reimbursement of the registration fee and any extras.
Article 3. Cancellation of the event – force majeure – liability
General
KEEP ON RUNNING is only liable for any failure attributable to it, insofar as this liability has not been expressly excluded or limited in these general terms and conditions. The total liability of KEEP ON RUNNING is in any case limited to compensation for direct damage (excluding indirect damage) and can never exceed the value of the service provided, i.e. the registration fee.
Liability in the event of force majeure is excluded. Force majeure is understood to mean any circumstance beyond the control of KEEP ON RUNNING that prevents it (even temporarily) from fulfilling its obligations in whole or in part. This includes (but is not limited to) non-delivery or late delivery or errors on the part of suppliers or other third parties engaged, weather conditions (such as extreme heat, thunderstorms, storms, gusts of wind, floods, etc.), fire, riots, war or threat of war, insurrection, epidemics, pandemic (such as COVID-19), state of quarantine, malfunctions in a ( telecommunications) network or connection or communication systemsused , disturbances on public roads , blockades , strikes or lockouts , demonstrations, and other disruptive disturbances.
Cases of force majeure do not entitle the participant to any refund of the registration fee or other costs.

COVID-19
COVID-19 is a highly contagious virus that can lead to serious illness and death. There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. Attendance at the event is entirely voluntary and at the participant's own risk, and implies acceptance of the risks associated with exposure to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases, which are understood to mean any disease caused by an infectious and/or toxic substance that occurs through direct or indirect transmission of this substance by an infected person or other living organism or by an object. The organizer is not liable in the event of infection with COVID-19 or any other disease as a result of participation in or attendance at the event.
In the event that the organizer is unable to hold the event due to an epidemic or pandemic (such as COVID-19 and any new outbreaks thereof) and/or urgent government measures ("force majeure"), the registration will automatically be transferred to the new date or to the next edition of the event.
Cancellation
If KEEP ON RUNNING cancels the event, except in cases of force majeure, the tickets will be exchanged for tickets for a new/next edition of the event or another KEEP ON RUNNING event. Any other costs incurred in connection with the event, such as service and administration costs and any extras (such as merchandising, T-shirts, training schedule, charity, etc.), will not be refunded.
Article 4. Participation
Participation in the event is personal to the participant. It is not permitted to transfer the registration to another person.
Participation in the event is only possible with a valid registration and if the following age requirements are met:
Hiking events
Participants younger than 12 years of age may only participate under the supervision of a person older than 18 years of age.
From 25 km: minimum age 12 at the time of participation From 50 km: minimum age 16 at the time of participation
Running events
From 10km: minimum age 12 at the time of participation From 21km: minimum age 16 at the time of participation From 42km: minimum age 18 at the time of participation
Participants shall always respect the environment. Participants shall ensure their own safety and that of other participants. Participants must follow the instructions of the organizer, medical teams, and police.
The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants who do not comply with the provisions of these general terms and conditions or who pose a danger to themselves or third parties from participation.
Article 5. Prices
The prices quoted are always in euros and include VAT, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Article 6. Payment
The participant must always pay the full amount of the registration fee (registration fee and extras) in advance, upon registration, using the online payment system provided.
KEEP ON RUNNING believes it has taken all possible and relevant precautions and is therefore acting as a normal and careful online seller. Any theft cannot therefore be invoked against it.
Article 7. Cancellation policy
Registrations can be canceled in writing via events@keeponrunning.be. Up to 21 days before the competition, 75% of the registration fee will be refunded. No cancellations are possible during the last 3 weeks.
Article 8. Recommendations for healthy and safe exercise and COVID-19
Participation requires good health and good physical condition. The participant declares that he/she meets this condition. The organizer recommends a preventive sports medical examination by a certified sports physician prior to participation. The organizer cannot be held responsible for any medical problems experienced by the participant.
The organizer has taken the necessary health and safety measures for the event. The participant declares that they will strictly comply with the measures in force, which may be adjusted by the organizer at any time to suit the circumstances and the rules applicable at that time.
Participants are advised not to attend the event if they have symptoms that could indicate COVID-19, such as flu-like symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, or unusual fatigue.
High-risk groups are advised not to participate in the event.
Article 9. Personal data and intellectual property rights
All participant information is intended for KEEP ON RUNNING. KEEP ON RUNNING and its partners will use this data for participation in the Event as well as for marketing and communication purposes. The General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, concerning the protection of privacy with regard to data processing, provides for the right of access to and correction of data. Participants may request the correction of their personal data at any time via the contact details included in these general terms and conditions.
By participating in the event, you agree to the possible use of your data, photo, or portrait rights in print, film, video, etc. for promotional purposes of KEEP ON RUNNING and its events, without claiming any compensation for this.
The participant acknowledges that techniques may be used to determine his/her exact location at any time by picking up signals from the chip included in the proof of participation that the participant carries. The participant grants KEEP ON RUNNING permission to publish this information so that it can be seen by everyone.
The participant grants KEEP ON RUNNING permission to track their location in real time (live tracking) in the manner described above, to record this data in a file, to provide it to third parties, and to publish it via the internet, social media, and mobile applications. By entering into the agreement, the participant grants the organizer permission to publish their name and race results.
Article 10. Comments/complaints
Commentsmust be submitted in writing to the organizer via events@keeponrunning.be. The organizer will always make every reasonable effort to address each comment within 10 days of receipt via one of the above channels. If this is not possible, the participant will be notified and an alternative timeframe will be proposed.
Article 11. Validity of clauses
If one or more articles of these terms and conditions are invalid or unlawful for any reason, this shall not affect the validity of the other parts of the terms and conditions.
Article 12. Applicable law – jurisdiction
These general terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. In the event of disputes relating to these general terms and conditions, the courts of the jurisdiction of KEEP's registered office shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

We collect and process personal data in connection with our website, ticket sales, social media, and at the relevant event. By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree to this privacy policy and expressly give your written consent for your personal data to be collected and processed in accordance with the purposes described herein. We collect and process the following data in the manner described below:
– Identification data. Data with which you register yourself and with which we can uniquely identify you in relation to other users, such as your email address. During your registration and login in connection with the ordering of tickets, we may also process or collect your surname, first name, address, date of birth, language, gender, telephone number, and other data;
– Explicitly provided data. We also process data that you explicitly provide, either directly to us, via social media profiles, or via websites and social media of our partners and events;
– Automatically collected data. In addition to the aforementioned data, data may also be collected and processed automatically, such as your IP address, geographical location, the type and operating system of your computer or mobile phone, visits and the time and duration of your visits to pages and parts of our products and services;
– Cookies. We use cookies to improve the functioning and ease of use of our online services.
Your personal data may be passed on to our partners, suppliers, and event organizers. Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
– to make the use of the services (website, ticket shop, etc.) as safe, easy, and user-friendly as possible and to optimize the user experience of our services;
– to create content that is relevant to you and to offer and integrate information, promotions, products, and services from us and our partners with other information, promotions, products, and services from third parties;
– to process for advertising, marketing, and direct marketing purposes for commercial and promotional campaigns, products, and services from us and our partners, suppliers, and event organizers. Final provisions
Failure or delay by us in exercising any right under these terms and conditions or a contract or any legal provision shall not be deemed a waiver of that right, and shall not affect any other or subsequent occurrence or prejudice any right or remedy in relation thereto or in any way affect or alter our or your rights under these terms and conditions or any contract.
If one or more clauses of these general terms and conditions are found to be invalid, this shall not entail the invalidity of the other clauses or of these general terms and conditions in general; in that case, the invalid clauses shall be amended into legally valid clauses that are in accordance with the legal consequences we intended at the time of acceptance of these general terms and conditions.
These general terms and conditions, all agreements, and all legal relationships to which these general terms and conditions apply are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes that may arise in relation to (the implementation of) these general terms and conditions and all legal relationships to which these general terms and conditions apply shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts of Antwerp.
