Is your personal record in the 5 km ready to be broken? Saucony You Race, We Pace!

This crowd favorite is back: in a new location, but just as fast and just as iconic.  

During this unique running event, a trained group of pacemakers will be ready for all participants. They will set the pace, and you as a participant just need to keep up. Can you manage to keep up? If so, a brand-new personal record awaits you at the finish line.

What do we expect from you? To give it your all for 5 kilometers. 

Ready to appear in the starting blocks? And yes, you can pass the pacers!

Course

Whether you're aiming for an incredible average of 3:00/kilometer or your first impressive sub-30-minute run, Saucony You Race, We Pace is there for all levels.

So, are you up for challenging yourself in a unique competition format where your biggest competitor is the clock?

  • Is your target time for the 5 km between 15 and 35 minutes?
  • Would you like to race at a special location?

The course will consist of …

Program

At least one pacer will be provided for each pace group of up to 30 participants. 

Each pace group starts at a different time so that participants can chase their personal best unhindered. 

The first session starts at 10:00 a.m.

There will be no fewer than 14 series! With these target times:

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. – 11:45 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. – 12:45 a.m.

Practical information

Daily registration

Possible if there are still start numbers available.

Parking

Please park at Runners’ Lab Paal-Beringen , De Weven 7, 3583 Beringen, whenever possible (it’s a 1.3 km walk to the starting line).

Medal

There are a limited number of medals available; you can request one when you register, while supplies last.

Start time

Depending on your target time. Click HERE for the start times.

Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early, and remember to factor in your warm-up time.

Luggage

Free storage space is provided for your personal belongings.

Changing rooms, showers, and sanitary facilities

There are no showers or changing rooms. However, you can use the toilets.

Places to eat and drink

There will be a food truck serving yogurt bowls and shakes.

A few days before the competition, you will receive an email with the latest practical information.

Saucony Test Shoes

Saucony will also be attending the event to give you an extra boost. They will be bringing a whole selection of test shoes, including their fastest carbon shoes.

Would you like to use a pair of Saucony test shoes during your record attempt? Be sure to arrive early so you can choose your preferred model and size.

Are spectators allowed?

Yes, definitely! The more, the better.

Do I have to pay for parking?

No, parking is free of charge. Please drive slowly on the grounds for the safety of our runners.

Can I still change my pace on the day itself?

Yes, no problem. Just let reception know and we will adjust your category. Faster or slower: both are possible!

Are there showers and changing rooms available?

No showers or changing rooms, but there are toilets and a place to store your bags.

Can I start later?

No, for this event we depart at specific times.
