What?

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, you will run the very firstSint-Ferdinand Trailin Lummen! 

Choose your challenge:8 km (Run & Walk), 12 km (Run) or 24 km (Run) through the forests of Schalbroek, the rural paths ofLinkhoutand around the beautifulSchulensmeer lake. A varied and pure nature adventure. 

Along the way, 500 meters are transformed into a special section of the course: "Running for someone else." Along this kilometer, you will be encouraged bydrawings, sayings, and signs made by the young people of Sint-Ferdinand, a heartwarming moment that will touch every runner. 

Even the youngest sports enthusiasts will find something to enjoy in the cozy kids' zonewith bouncy castles and entertainment. 

The start and finish are in the heart of Lummen, where atmosphere, tasty treats, and conviviality await.

Course

During the Sint-Ferdinand Trail, you will discover Lummen at its most beautiful: wooded paths, rural roads, and unpaved stretches that draw you deep into nature. From the atmospheric Schalbroekbosto the peaceful fields ofLinkhout, and a breathtaking passage along theSchulensmeer,this is Limburg nature at its best. 

💪 You choose your own challenge: 8 km (Run & Walk), 12 km (Run), or 24 km (Run). Short and intense, or long and pure enjoyment, each distance has its own charm and flow. 

Expect a mix of forest trails, dirt roads, and single tracks with enough variety to keep you alert and enthusiastic. Along the way, we provide clear signage and well-equipped refreshment stations. 

And after the finish? A cozy atmosphere awaits you withfood, drinks, and a kids' zone full of bouncy castles—theperfect place to catch up, relax, and enjoy the day. 🌿 

Supply

Along the route, you don't have to worry about thirst or energy.
Our supply points ensure that you can always refuel properly along the way. 

  • 8 km Run & Walk: 1 refreshment station  
  • 12 km Run: 2 refreshment stations 
  • 24 km Run: 3 refreshment stations 

 

At the finish line, there will be additional refreshments and a cozy catering area where you can recharge your batteries.

  • 9:30 a.m.: Start of the 24 km Run
  • 10:00 a.m.: Start of the 12 km Run
  • 10:30 a.m.: Start of the 8 km Run & Walk
Practical information

Pick up bib numbers: 

Runners’ lab Paal-Beringen during opening hours:

  • Wednesday, March 25: 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 26: 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  
  • Friday, March 27: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  

At the event itself:  

  • Sunday, March 29: starting at 8:00 a.m.  

Day registration: possible on site, while supplies last.

 

All our events are cup-free: this means that we do NOT provide cups at the refreshment stations. 

So bring your own running backpack or drinking cup and take it with you on the course. Don't have one yet? You can purchase an eco-cup or soft flask when you register or at the reception desk on the day of the event. 

 

Showers, cloakroom, storage area for sports bags:  

There is a secure storage area for your sports bags in the Chapel of O.C. Sint-Ferdinand.  

Sanitary facilities are also provided at the start. There are no sanitary facilities along the route. 

Food and beverage outlets: 

O.C. Sint-Ferdinand will provide delicious hamburgers, hot dogs, and more throughout the event. All proceeds from catering will go to O.C. Sint-Ferdinand to support their projects.

Fancy some fun team building with your colleagues, or do you want to encourage each other as a former management team to achieve a new running goal together? Then registerhereas a groupnow. Group registrations are possible up to 2 weeks before the event.

  • First, create an account at www.keeponrunning.be by clicking on the Login button in the top right corner.
  • The website works best in Google Chrome.
  • Complete the steps and confirm your account via the link in the email (often ends up in spam).
  • Only then should you go to the link for group registrations.
  • Use your team's code or set a code as team captain.
  • Fill in all your details and register in a team.
  • Payment must be made before the start of the event via the team captain's profile.

 

Why register as a group?

  • Your group name on all bib numbers.
  • Extra recognizable in photos.
  • All bib numbers are ready and waiting at reception, so only one person needs to come and collect them.
  • Group registration possible on invoice.

Are you unable to attend this event at the last minute? Find out what you can do below:   

Up to 21 days before the event, you will receive a 75% refund of the registration fee. You can cancel your ticket yourself via your Keep on Running profile.  

Less than 21 days until the event? Keep on Running does not currently offer a resale platform. Look for a buyer/seller among your friends and acquaintances or check out our community on Facebook.

In Lummen, De Blinker primary school and Sint-Ferdinand secondary school together form a warm learning environment for children and young people with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or behavioral and emotional difficulties.
Here, every student is given the opportunity to grow at their own pace, with a focus on talents, self-confidence, and connectedness.

In addition to education, O.C. Sint-Ferdinand also offers care and support through its boarding school (MFC) for young people with intellectual disabilities, ASD, and/or behavioral and emotional problems.
Sint-Ferdinand also provides services for adults, with country houses and day centers spread across 16 locations in Lummen, Hasselt, Leopoldsburg, Sint-Truiden, and Leuven.

During the event, O.C. Sint-Ferdinand will provide delicious burgers, hot dogs, and more.
