What?
Experience Kortrijk in a magical way during the WIntercorrida, the most festive end-of-year run through the city. Choose a 5-km or 10-km route and run past illuminated squares, cozy Christmas markets, and iconic landmarks that shine even brighter in December.
Even the youngest sports enthusiasts will find something to enjoy: during thekids' run , they'll run 500m or 1000m.
Make it extra cozy and come dressed in a fun outfit for a walk with beautiful lighting —that way, we’ll make it a memorable street run together. ✨ You can also buy accessories at the event itself.

Course
During Wintercorrida in Kortrijk, you’ll discover the city in a unique atmosphere: illuminated squares, lively streets, and iconic landmarks in the spotlight. Broel Towers by Night? Absolutely!
You choose your own challenge: 5 km or 10 km?
It's a true street race on stone pavements, cobblestones, and the quays. Streets are closed off specifically for this race.
Podium prizes will be awarded to the fastest three men and women. And after the finish? We will gladly send you to the atmospheric markets and squares of Winter in Kortrijk for a pleasant conclusion to the day.

There were also podium prizes for the three fastest kids in the 500m and 1000m races, courtesy of LAGO Kortrijk Weide. A special prize was awarded to the best-dressed young runner.
Kids' Run
During thekids' run , children get the chance to participate in a real race. They can choose between 500 meters and 1,000 meters and are cheered on loudly by parents and supporters lining the course.
Meet some fun mascots, and there will be a podium for the three fastest runners in both the 500m and 1000m races. But no one will go home empty-handed: every child will receive a beautiful medal and a goodie bag, courtesy of LAGO Kortrijk Weide, Capri-Sun, and Runners’lab. 🎁✨

KIDSRUN FAQ
- Are parents allowed to accompany their children during the kids' run?
We really want to organize a competition during the kids' run. That's why we're asking everyone to cheer extra loudly from the sidelines.
- From what age are children allowed to participate?
From 6 years to 12 years
- Is the stage divided by gender?
No, there are three winners (M/F/X) for the 500m and three winners (M/F/X) for the 1000m.
- Can the kids come dressed up too?
Of course! The crazier, the better. As long as they can walk comfortably in their outfits. There’s also a prize for the runner with the most original costume.
Program
- 6:30 p.m.: Start of the 500-meter kids' run
- 6:50 p.m.: Start of the 1,000-meter kids' run
- 7:15 p.m.: Awards ceremony for the 500m and 1000m kids' run
- 7:30 p.m.: 10-km warm-up
- 7:45 p.m.: Start of the 10km race
- 8:00 p.m.: Warm-up: 5 km
- 8:15 p.m.: Start of the 5 km race
- 9:00 p.m.: Awards Ceremony for the 5K and 10K
Practical information
Pick up race bibs:
Runners’ Lab Roeselare during business hours from Monday, November 30, through Friday, December 4.
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 9:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 9:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
At the event itself:
- Saturday, December 5: from 5:30 p.m. until 15 minutes before the start – 1st floor, CVO Miras
All of our events are cup-free: This means that we do NOT provide cups at the aid stations.
So, please bring your own running backpack or water bottle and take it with you on the course. Don’t have one yet? You can purchase an Ecocup or Softflask when you register or at the registration desk on the day of the event.
Canceling tickets:
Through Sunday, November 15, 2025, you will receive a 75% refund of the amount you paid. You can manage your registration in the confirmation email you received after signing up.
Time limit:
There is no time limit for the course. The finish line closes at 10 p.m., and then it's time to head to the Christmas markets!
Can I tag along with…
- A small dog: Sure, that's nice—as long as your dog walks on a leash and is used to walking in large groups.
- A jogging stroller: Sure, that’s fine! Please note that the 5KM route does go over a bridge with stairs.
Showers, locker room, sports bag storage area:
There is a secure storage area for your gym bags at CVO Miras—on the 1st floor.
There are NO changing roomsand NO showers available.
Restaurants and bars:
Brasserie LAGO Kortrijk Weide is now open.
After the race, head down to downtown Kortrijk for a wide variety of food trucks and stalls.
5K & 9K Runs

A corrida isn’t just any street run: the streets are closed to traffic so you can run smoothly and quickly through the city. Duringthe Wintercorrida Kortrijk, we’ll take you on a unique route: past the festive Christmas markets, across illuminated squares, and by iconic landmarks that make the city sparkle in December.
Since we’re running at night, visibility is super important. Choose fluorescent colors and reflective elements, add running lights, or make it a party with an extra-shiny outfit. That way, you’ll not only look great, but you’ll also stay safe.

Up to 21 days before the event (November 15), you will receive an 80% refund of the registration fee. You can cancel your ticket yourself via your confirmation email.
Less than 21 days until the event? Keep on Running does not currently offer a resale platform. Try finding a buyer or seller among your friends and family, or check out or post something in our community on Facebook.
