What?

Unpaved forest trails, muddy hollow roads and tough hills, Stroomloop has it all. Starting from the old Equestrian Complex in Three Fountains Park, Stroomloop offers several courses.

Nature has a lot to offer, but Stroomloop has even more in store. Music, art and other entertainment from local soil color the course and provide an unforgettable running experience, from start to finish.

Route

Unknown is unloved! In the shadow of the viaduct and our capital city, we are once again seeking nature with Streamwalk. Be surprised by the natural beauty the region has in store for you!

Streamwalk offers a total of four unique routes that take you along the region's most beautiful trail paths. These trails consist largely of semi-paved and unpaved surface, such as earth, grass, gravel, dolomite ... . Especially in bad weather, trail shoes are therefore not a luxury!

Along the way and at the finish line, we provide supply stations, where you can get a quick drink (water and isotonic) and food (fruit, candy & cookies). Everything for that top performance! At these posts we deliberately choose not to offer disposable cups. So be sure to bring your own reusable drinking bottle or cup to refuel along the way.

Walk

Would you like to enjoy all the beauty Stroomloop has to offer, but walking is not for you? Not to worry, because again this year we welcome walkers with open arms! Immerse yourself in the beautiful nature during our 10K trail walk and be surprised by our unique experience points. Regain your strength afterwards at our bar.

Also to the children has been thought of. They become real nature quests and can work with them afterwards in the Kids Zone. In short, an ideal family outing. Children under the age of 6 can participate in the walk for free.

Walkers are free to start between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.. We close the finish line at 6 p.m. The start and finish are located at the Equestrian Complex in Domain Three Fountains.

After exercising, regain your strength or, as a supporter, spend your time usefully while waiting, do so at our cozy Power bar. An extensive assortment of drinks and food, combined with the necessary mood music, make it a pleasant place to be!

For the little ones among us, we provide a cool Kids Zone. Bouncy castles, giant games and entertainment ensure that they, too, can have a great time.

Program

You can pick up your chest number from 10 am at the registration point until half an hour before the start of your distance. bar, foodtruck and Kidszone also open at this time.

Starting shot runners

For all distances, a group start will always take place. For those who prefer to start at their own pace, we provide a timeframe of fifteen minutes after the group start during which free start can be freely started.

21 km: group start at 12:15 p.m. - free start possible until 12:30 p.m.
14 km: group start at 1 p.m. - free start possible until 1:15 p.m.
7 km: group start at 2:15 p.m. - free start possible until 2:30 p.m.
Kidsrun 1.5 km: Group start at 1:30 p.m.

Starting shot walkers

10 km: free start between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

While supporting or after running, you can soak up the atmosphere at the finish line. The finish line and bar will close around 6 p.m..

Day registration: Possible from 10 am at the on-site registration point while supplies last.

The start and finish is located at the Ruiterijcomplex in domain Drie Fonteinen (Beneluxlaan 31, 1800 Vilvoorde). A plan of the event site can be found here

Race number collection

The collection of your personalized chest number can be done from 10am at the registration point at the start. Registered after Sunday, May 4? You will also receive a chest number, but without your name on it.

Note: walkers will not receive a chest number!

Podium Prizes

The winners of each running distance, in the men and women, will receive a surprise basket.
Both participants of the free start and the group start are eligible.
The award ceremony will take place about 30 minutes after the finish of the first runners.
All participants will receive a memento.

Beverage and food outlets

At our start and finish we provide a cozy drink and food stand with the necessary fringe entertainment, where your supporters can usefully spend their time during the wait or you yourself can relax quietly after the effort.

Store sports bags

A free storage area is provided in the Equestrian Complex for your personal belongings. Be sure to provide a gym bag or backpack for this purpose, as loose items of clothing will not be accepted.

Changing rooms, showers and sanitary facilities

Restrooms and changing rooms can be used at the start and finish line. Showers are not available.

Accessibility

The start and finish are located at the Equestrian complex in the Domein Drie Fonteinen (Beneluxlaan 31 - 1800 Vilvoorde)

Think about the environment and come to Stroomloop on foot, bike or public transportation as much as possible!

The (streetcar) bus

Operated by line 820 (The Line) and line 47 (STIB)Get off at stop VTM. This stop is within walking distance from the start.

The train

SNCB station Vilvoorde, from where you can easily take the bus (line 820 or 47) to the start. The bus ride takes about fifteen minutes.

The bicycle

Cycling is the ideal warm-up for Current Run. We provide a free (unguarded) bicycle parking right next to our start.

The car

Coming by car? You can park in the parking lot of DPG Media. Our parking attendants there will guide you to a spot in the parking lot. The parking lot is within walking distance of the start and finish line. The address for your GPS: Medialaan 1, 1800 Vilvoorde

Are dogs allowed to walk with Stream Run?
They are certainly allowed if they are on leash or walking along.

How can I resell my ticket?

Are you unexpectedly unable to attend and have found someone willing to take over your ticket? You can easily arrange this yourself until 8 p.m. the night before the event. Read how it works here or watch the instruction video.
