Is your personal record on the 5K up for renewal? You Race, We Pace!

During this unique running event, a trained group of pace setters will be ready for all participants. They provide the pace; you, the participant, must hitch your wagon. Do you manage to catch on? Then a brand new best time awaits you at the finish line at the air base.

5K You Race, We Pace

Whether you're aiming for an insane 3'00/kilometer average or a first, handsome swim under 30 minutes? Saucony You Race, We Pace is here for different levels.

Dusssss do you feel like challenging yourself in a unique competition format where your biggest competitor is the clock?

Is your target time on the 5K between 15 and 35 minutes?

9K Recreational Run

Not everything is about speed, records and giving yourself muscle pain for a week.

After the pace hunters have done their thing, adrenaline gives way to endorphins. During the 9K recreational run, you are welcome to enjoy the exceptional location at your own pace. The chance to run on an Air Force base doesn't come along every day!

Program

At least one pacer will be provided per pace group of max 20 participants.

Each tempo group starts at a different time so participants can chase their PRs unhindered.

The first (fastest) series begins at 10 a.m.

The event will conclude with a 9-kilometer recreational run with room for 300 participants. This will start at 2 p.m.

There is also the possibility of combining both the 5K and the recreational run. This can be done for an additional cost of €5.

Saucony Test Shoes

Name sponsor Saucony is also descending on the event to give you an extra push. They are bringing a whole selection of test shoes including their fastest carbon shoes.

Would you like to use a Saucony test pair during your record attempt? Then be there in time for you to choose your desired model and size.

Practical info

Day registration: Not possible, register no later than 1/06/2024

The start and finish is at the Beauvechain (Bevekom) air base. Chaussée de Namur, 1320 Beauvechain. You will find this small street on the Avenue des Combattants near the bus stop.

Parking

Coming by car? Parking is available on the property itself.

Medal

Each participant of the 5K will receive a medal at the finish line as a souvenir. This is not included for recreational run participants.

Saucony running shirt

Each participant of the 5K will receive a free Saucony running shirt. This can be picked up the day of the event and is not included for recreational run participants.

Start Hour

Depending on your target time. Check out the different start times here. The recreational run will start at 2 p.m.

Luggage

Free storage is provided for your personal belongings.

Changing rooms, showers and sanitary facilities

Showers and locker rooms are not available. You can, however, use the restrooms.

Beverage and food outlets

Food trucks and a beverage stand will be on hand to quench thirst and replenish the fuel tank.

Participation fee

If you participate in the 9K after your fast 5, you will enjoy a €10 discount.
