Ingredients
For the balls:
- Olive oil
- ¼ onion
- ½ clove of garlic
- 225g minced beef
- pepper
- salt
- ½ egg
- 5g breadcrumbs
- 2 wholemeal pita bread rolls
For the mint yogurt:
- 5g mint leaves
- 140g low-fat natural yogurt
- juice of ¼ lemon
- salt
For the salad:
- ½ cucumber
- 70g cherry tomatoes
- juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- salt
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
- Chop the onion and garlic.
- Mix the minced meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, egg and breadcrumbs in a bowl and form balls with the mixture.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and pour some olive oil over them.
- Bake the meatballs for 15 min.
- Meanwhile, warm the pita buns in the oven.
- Finely chop the mint and stir into a bowl with the low-fat yogurt, lemon juice and salt.
- For the salad, dice the cucumber and halve the tomatoes.
- Mix them together in a bowl. Stir in the lemon juice, parsley and salt.
- Remove the meatballs and bread from the oven. Cut the pita buns in half.
- Fill each half with a few meatballs and spoon in some of the mint yogurt.
- Serve with the salad.
